I am an aspirational thoughtboi. It’s a luxury that I do not have to spare some of my limited intellectual heft to build an opinion on everything, and can trust someone smarter than me to parse and analyze strategy across industries. While nothing beats real action, frameworks and theories help you map out the world and contextualize what has been tried before.
Here are a few thought leaders I like to follow:
- Not Boring by Packy McCormick - it’s crazy that most of his writing is plain free
- Stratechery by Ben Thompson, a legen
- Dan Hock’s excellent writing on marketplaces
- Cedric Chin’s Common Cog - whose $250 annual subscription I intend to buy at some point. Cedric’s writing is concise. Most business writing seems to emerge from America, but to see someone who has not really worked/lived here - even if they are part of the wider anglophone world - produce such work is deeply appreciated.
